Every wedding has something memorable – one event or object that sticks with me about that wedding. For this Oxford MS wedding, I’ll never forget Ashley and Bret’s flame.
It was late in the night and I was scouting places for some portraits. I wandered back to the field where the wedding had been earlier in the day, and that’s when I saw it. The flame. It was their unity candle. It had been left up and left burning for hours. Chairs had been removed, decorations had been taken down, but the candle stood there alone in a field of darkness. A photo had to be taken.
And so it was.
